My Good Girl
chapter three of the Supercorp meme saga
read it on AO3
Prompt: âI canât stop thinking about you.â
âHey.â Lena sighed in a warm greeting, making Kara believe for a fraction of a second that she could feel Lenaâs breath on her cheek through the phoneâs tiny speaker.
âHey.â Kara echoed back, cheeks blushing at how eager her own voice sounded in response.
âGood night?â Lena drawled knowingly.
âGreat night.â Kara corrected.
âOh?â Lena perked up, âUp to anything interesting?â
Kara could barely contain the joyous grin that took over her face as she settled more comfortably against her bed's pillows.
âJust a date.â Kara replied, playing coy and indifferent (rather poorly).
âJust?â Lena repeated. âImplies it wasnât that great if it was prefaced with a just.â
âWell, it was only a first date, still feeling things out, you know?â
âHmm⊠that can take time. Definitely donât want to rush your judgement.â Lena hummed in agreement. âSo⊠are you going to share any details? Iâm hoping you didnât phone your best friend after midnight to tell me about just any old date.â
âI never said any old date.â Kara defended.
âBut you did say justâŠâ Lena teased, sotto voce.
âI.. I- I-âŠâ Kara spluttered in defeat, earning her an affectionate chuckle, bolstering her spirit and soothing decades-old hurts. âIt was just a date in the same way that you're just my best friend. It was just a date in the same way people say just another love story, just another war, just another a day. It was a âjustâ used when the task of trying to appropriately define it is so insurmountable that cowards like me sprint in the other direction rather than even make an attempt.â
The silence that followed was made all the more agonising since Lenaâs heartbeat was so far away, across the city, not suitably amplified by the phoneâs speaker.
âSounds like one hell of a date.â Lena finally exhaled, voice noticeably cracking with emotion.
âMore like heaven than hell.â Kara breathed, her bared soul settling calmly back into its shell after being exposed.
âI should hope so, it was a long time in the making.â Lena acknowledged.
âI would have waited longer. I would have waited forever.â Kara promised.
âI know.â Lena whispered.
âShe took me to the art gallery to see the exhibit on Impressionism.â Kara revealed, easing them back into their game.
âThe one youâve been talking about for weeks?â
âMmhmm.â
âClearly a very lucky guess on her part.â Lena remarked drolly.
âClearly.â Kara laughed.
âLet me guess,â Lena said, slow and thoughtful, âconsidering she defaulted to an intellectual date at an art gallery⊠for dinner, she took you to an upmarket restaurant where all the waiters are required to have sticks up their asses?â
âLeeeennnnaaaâŠâ Kara whined, burying her face against her cool pillow in exasperation.
âAm I wrong?â Lena inquired curiously.
âVery!â Kara huffed.
âOh?â
âShe took me to a food festival, we had sushi, tacos, burritos, overloaded hot dogs, calzone, then crepes, profiteroles, fancy donuts andâŠâ Kara let out a deep, appreciative moan. âIt was so good, Lena.â
There was an audible gulp on the other end of the line. âYeah⊠sounds it.â
âAnd then afterâŠâ Kara continued softly, âafter we walked around the city, hand in hand, talking the night away, she walked me to my door andâŠâ
âAnd?â Lena prompted.
Karaâs eyes slipped closed, reliving the moment where pale fingers brushed her cheek and green eyes disappeared behind closed lids prior to the softest press of lips against her own.
âA Kryptonian doesnât kiss and tell.â Kara hummed.
âTease.â Lena clucked her tongue.
âIâm the tease?! Need I remind you of a certain skirt and turtleneck sweater?â
There was a long pause, âI concede your point.â
âHey, Lena?â Kara said after Lena let out a yawn.
âKara?â Lena replied, voice starting to slur with sleepiness
âI donât think I can sleep.â
âWhy not?â Lena asked immediately, alertness coming back - triggered with concern about nightmares that had gone silent in the last couple of months.
âBecause I canât stop thinking about you.â Kara answered breathlessly. âIâm scared that if I close my eyes and fall asleep, Iâll wake up and find out tonight was all a dream. A perfect dream.â
âKara,â Lena began, tone firm and determined as she ordered (knowing it would be followed instantly), âfly to me. Fly to me and sleep safely in my arms.â
Kara was up and out the window in less than a heartbeat, and landing softly beside Lena two heartbeats later. Lena reached out for her, pulling her close and kissing her cheek, forehead and lips - grounding Kara with touch and love like only she could.
Convincing my bf to write supercorp fanfic is the best
New (weird) Supercorp fic !
If you want to read a small fun one shot about teenage Kara being absolutely rubbish at being human, miscommunication, silent flirting and dead animals, I have just the thing for you. I recently wrote a fun little one shot for a friendâs birthday that you can find here : https://archiveofourown.org/works/29936385
Hereâs the summary :
Teenage alien Kara is not great at being human, and she's even worse at it around Lena. Lena is so so pretty and Kara really wants to get to know her but every time she's around her, she forgets everything she knows about her new language and planet. Increasingly frustrated, she decides to take matters into her own hands (or whatever humans say). Taking courting advice from her cat can't be that bad of an idea, right ?
And hereâs a terrible screenshot of Streaky :

To sate our thirst for evil Lena, hereâs an extended scene for 5x13
The Kryptonite beam knocked the air out of Karaâs lungs and radiated through her veins. Sharp pains traveled up and down the length of her body and her skin felt as if it were on fire.
Kara heaved and looked up to see the face of the woman she had spent countless days fighting for. Lenaâs eyes were cold and dead, devoid of anything but sorrow. It was as if she had cloaked herself in misery for the entire world to see, and realization dawned on the hero in that moment of what was needed to be done.
Lena kneeled down and watched silently as the Kryptonian before her struggled to lift her head. âYou donât know the first thing about painâŠâ She smiled mockingly, then continued. âBut I do and I can show you, make you feel what I feel.â
âI wonât fight you Lena.â Kara managed to say through her torment and met the dictatorâs piercing green eyes.
Lena stood slowly, the corner of her lip quirked in an amused curve. âThen youâll die screaming.â She said and released another devastating beam at Karaâs body.
The force of the wave obliterated Karaâs thoughts, her senses, and even her sight. But through it all, her heart kept beating, reminding her why she was in this Rao forsaken place to begin with and she fought to get the words she had desperately wanted to tell Lena out before she faded to the darkness enveloping her.
âLena!â Kara shouted through the searing, blinding agony of the Kryptonite and hoped that Lena would hear her. âI love you!â
The dictator narrowed her eyes and halted the beam.
 âWhat?â
Karaâs body was shaking and her mind felt scrambled, she managed to meet Lenaâs puzzled gaze and repeat herself. âI said, I love you.â She stated and collapsed to the ground.
Lena pulled the lead jacket back over her chest and kneeled back down to Kara.
 Love?
Kara felt her power beginning to slowly return to her. Her body was already healing without the Kryptonite exposure, and she glanced up at Lena, seeing confusion in her emerald eyes.
âH-how could youâŠâ Lena trailed off, unable to even say the words.
âThis may seem a bit bizarre to you, but I know that youâll be able to make sense of it.â Kara said in a low, strained voice. âIâm from another timeline, and in that world, you and I, we are best friends.â
Lenaâs eyes widened but she remained silent.
Kara continued, âSometime during our friendship Lena, I realized that I loved you, and not just platonically but romantically. I couldnât live without youâŠI still canât.â
Lena took a deep breath, closed her eyes and tried to imagine another world where a beautiful blonde woman, the most powerful on earth, loved her.
It sounded like something she dreamt about years before her family tried to kill her.
She opened her eyes to find Kara attempting to stand and she helped the hero on her feet.
âThen tell me, why are you here?â Lena asked once Kara was strong enough to stand on her own.
Kara thought of a million responses to that question and settled on the one that reflected her true intentions. âTo save us.â
Lena knew, in what was left of her heart, that this woman was telling the truth. Their eyes connected and she felt captivated by the love she saw in Karaâs azure gaze. It warmed her in a way nothing had in years and she suddenly became aware of a tear trailing down her pale cheek.
Kara took a step forward, wanting nothing more than to pull Lena into her arms and absorb the pain that this world had inflicted on her, but as she took her next step, she felt Mxyzptlkâs presence and then, she disappeared.
Lena stared at the spot that Supergirl had been and committed the look in the Kryptonianâs eyes to memory.
She whispered to the empty space, âThank you Kara, for making me feel again.â
Last night I dreamed about Supercorp!
Lena was in danger and yelled âSupergirl will save me!â I-
