#IWear: Sculpting with Colour I decided to wear purple to a casual dinner. My usual style to style purple would be to team it with striking pink and maybe hints of bright blue. It's a very dramatic colour. Not quite the effect I wanted . Also this shade, @nyxcosmetics #SuperCliquey Ruthless is the kind of deep bluish-purple that I get lost it. It overpowers my skin colour and the shape and texture of my lips seem to drown in it,making me look like I have thinner lips or just a line. It's severe and again, not what I was going for. And finally this format gets powdery dry, never a good thing for a rich colour since the lips look streaky or cracked then. So I added @maybelline #SuperStay Philosopher, which is a chalky looking pale-pink with no shine in it. Because of the contrast, the textures that were getting lost are better highlighted now. See the image on the top right. That's not light reflecting on my lips, it's ombre giving it that illusion. In the other two pics you can see how the colours really look. Oh and if you didn't spot it, bright blue is also in the picture - on my eyebrows. 😜 #style #styleblogger #styleblogging #beauty #beautyblogger #beautyblogging #fashion #fashionblogging #fashionbloggingworld #fashionisart #fashionblogger #makeup #makeupisart #makeupblogger #makeupblogging #colortheory #colourtheory #colourandlight #colorandlight #lipart #lipsonpoint #lipstick #lipstick💄 #lipsonfleek https://www.instagram.com/p/BrGaDZ2H63L/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1an6gr2nlfilp
