The Champions of England will be crowned this week and none of us know which way the pendulum will swing. Both City and Liverpool have a hand on the trophy but the FA will have to keep both sets of ribbons handy for the post match celebrations. Tyron seems disheartened by the fact that Spurs have made it to a Champions League Final nd doesn’t care about most of the weekend’s fixtures, most likely because there will be no St Totteringham’s Day again.
On the Superbru front Owen, dontikofy and Chappie1 are all still in with a realistic chance of taking top spot, much like the teams, they will need to be on top form this weekend as an exact result could determine the final positions. We holding thumbs for you. Round 37’s YELLOW cap was won by bousqetts with 16.5 points.
Thoughts on Arsenal this season
Poor. Emery is unclear on his plans, pushed to sign a player that never played and has hardly improved on Wenger. With no money available its scary to think how bad it could get.
In a way there has been progress and a in a lot of ways Europa League could be the seasons savior. It’s a good first season post Wenger but the summer signings now could be telling for what they can truly do next season. Far from title contenders right now that’s for sure and they’ll miss Ramsey more than they realize …
Strange season for Arsenal. Emery will need time to get his team in but the home form is promising. Arsenal’s away form is horrendous and yet they are on the cusp of top 4. Still a bit soft mentally but the style is attractive.
Thoughts on Manchester City this season
Provided they win the league its been the model of consistency. To finish the year ahead of this Liverpool is sensational.
Fantastic season which should be ending with the title and hopefully a treble, would be even better with a Champions League final run but that’s next seasons priority. Pep has grown on an amazing season last season, and we’ve seen Foden really come through as a first team player. Couldn’t be much happier really!
Champions in 2018 and probably champions again this season is a good retrun. The league Cup is irrelevant to most and the FA Cup could be a nice finishing touch for City. Champions League failure will again frustrate the owners, especially with two English finalists this season.
Thoughts on Manchester United this season
Its been a long, difficult and dark season for United. They will have to join the Thursday football brigade next year which is not likely to excite
I think there’s a lot of work to be done for Ole. Time will tell if he’s the right man for the job but there’s a lot of spring cleaning that needs to be done and missing top 4 won’t make that task any easier. For United the season must be disappointing – especially how the season has ended.
Too many questions arise after Jose claimed his best ever season was finishing 2nd to City with this squad the previous year. Ole went on a bit of a sweet run but results in the last 10 matches show there are problems bigger than Jose’s sulky face. We need a massive clear-out of dead wood and might struggle to make top 6 next season.
Kompany scores a vital goal
Champions and deservingly so
City to finish the season with aplomb. Good win with a few goals, ideally an Aguero hat trick
Brighton showed tremendous fight and freedom in their away match at the Emirates. Survival and a final home match thank you to the fans could see them putting up more resistance than a City fan would like.
Can this season just end already
Arsenal will want to finish the season as strongly as possible and should against Burnley
Despite Arsenal’s horrendous recent form (4 points from 18) I think they should see off Burnley on the final day.
Crystal Palace v Bournemouth
The Eagles to end on a high
Both teams to score but both should be happy with a draw
Palace have better results away from home so this clash between two clubs separated by a point could be interesting
Fulham to have a good day, Toon to show why Benitez is the best man for the job
Fulham have finished the season well and could well win this one
Newcastle were superb against Liverpool but away from St. James’ they not quite the same
High scoring draw feels about right
Chelsea have secured top 4 and with nothing left to play for I expect the rent boys to lay down for Leicester
Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-2 Liverpool
Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers
97 points and finishing second is unreal
Wolves to give Liverpool a fright but think Liverpool will be strong enough to win here
If Salah had a concussion against Newcastle there’s no way he should play any part but who knows what decisions will be made to get the talisman ready for the game.
Ole looking for all the points they lost since he went permanent
Man. United v Cardiff City
Snatching 5th from Arsenal is the highlight of the season
Good bye to Cardiff but United will want to win to break a bad end of season run
We hope United play Greenwood, Chong and a host of other academy youngsters in an show of force to the under-performing squad.
Highlights of the Huddersfield season include a point at Old Trafford and this photo
Southampton v Huddersfield
Southampton should win this last home game of the season
Huddersfield are still crap regardless of taking a point off United in the previous round.
Spurs’; new home ground is a thing of beauty
Just to rub salt into wounds
It feels like an exciting draw with Spurs minds focused on the Champions League final
Spurs are in a bit of a mess at the moment. Defeats to Ajax, West Ham and Bournemouth don’t bode well for a visit from high flying Everton, despite the fantastic turn around of the Champions League semi.
Difficult one to call, but think Watford will edge this one at home
Traditionally the home team dominates this fixture but Watford have a Final to look forward to and might rest some of their stars while West Ham are playing quite well again.
