first long distance race (11,2km) of the year at the second day of the @legendofox sup event 2021! after a pretty fast start with 5:23min./km avg. on the first kilometer of the race including one buoy turn at the 600m mark, a boat crossed directly in front of the lead pack with me on 4th position. 😱 we were all sprinting to get on to the boat wave but only @oleschwarz was able to surf it for some meters away from us. in this chaotic seconds @weidertpeter made a small gap to @ondraas.p and me, while mika was losing our tail in that situation. I pushed hard to close the gap to peter and during this, ondra lost my wake. I caught peter in lap 2 and we decided to work together to hunt ole down, who was 100m in front of us. we came pretty close to our goal in the next lap but ole was strong and confident enough to keep a small distance from us until the finishline. on the last turn of the race, peter was on the inside and he had some power left to secure the second place infront of me on 3rd.
