weird question but if a nombinary person had kids, what would the kids refer them as? âParentâ?
I think everyone kind of ends up picking a different thing because thereâs no cultural non-binary equivalent to Mom or Dad thatâs widely accepted.Â
Iâve heard lots of various mixes of the two or a completely new take on a basic sound all babies make in the early stages of development:
Iâm personally not a fan of too many of these, but Iâve heard âNanaâ as an alternative which I WOULD like more if Southern and Midwestern US didnât normalize it as a moniker for âgrandmotherâ.Â
Anyway, it just depends on what you come up with I think! Plenty of kids also just call their parent by their first name or a variant nickname.Â
