I think everyone kind of ends up picking a different thing because there’s no cultural non-binary equivalent to Mom or Dad that’s widely accepted. 

I’ve heard lots of various mixes of the two or a completely new take on a basic sound all babies make in the early stages of development:

I’m personally not a fan of too many of these, but I’ve heard ‘Nana’ as an alternative which I WOULD like more if Southern and Midwestern US didn’t normalize it as a moniker for ‘grandmother’. 

At this point I’ve been deep in the arms of Wyrm Theory for so long that I have absolutely no friggin’ idea.

Probably something completely new that we have no basis to even theorize on, otherwise.

Day 9 for @spinearlcentral‘s Fusion Fest

I suppose it would be... odd characterization? 

I don’t mind AU stories that change the narrative and thereby change the character’s motivations and personalities, etc. 

But when I’m reading fanfiction or webcomics that include canon characters acting in non-canon ways just to further the plot I get pretty disinterested really quickly. It’s not personal, it just rubs me the wrong way and I can’t get into the story because of it. 

Then again, everyone has a different reading of characters - so to an extent, WHICH of a character’s traits you decide to bring out in your story is pretty flexible. 

i think she was in white diamonds court but got transfered for someone in yellow diamonds court because something happened to her ‘friend’ or maybe her friend wasnt too interested in a screwball but i imagine like yellow diamond more yellow gems find hilarity in wacky hijinks and weird behaviors to laugh at 

i think Screwball didnt realize how much it was people just laughing at her instead of laughing for her purposeful comedy cause im sure spinels are rarer so no one probably knows how they should ‘properly’ act when theyre here to make you happy 

it feels, very one note 

obviously a reference to utena

but it could have been more thought out, i think it didnt have to be so mono colored with just a stripe of gold and that accent of teal, she seems so dominated by that reddish pink color

i think they shouldnt have relied so heavily on that angle for them and tried to balance out the fusion, the hair is ehh

the tiara seems very ehh and so slapped on, like im not a utena person but even looking at the characters of it 

i think i could do better, espeically if they wanted to go for the utena angle. so theres probably gonna be a few designs i post for the amount of x for the designs 

like more utena heavy, more balanced

this is all still going to be about the design features on what the crew seemed to want instead of a fully my own take on it. 

i like the fusion as its own person, i like how they came together but the fusion in its design seems very
