"You are back," Sofia grinned as she practically jumped into Theo's arms outside the fire station.

It had been years since the firefighter had consoled her in her tiny apartment when her little sister had accidentally set off the buildings fire alarms burning the carnitas she had been trying to teach herself to make. It had been horrifying having to explain her thirteen year old sister had a, been left alone and b, been cooking unsupervised but Theo hadn't judged her when tears of shame ran down her face, and so he had enlisted a friend for life in the young woman.

"Oh my god, you have missed so much but not my thirtieth which means you're back just in time to see me become an old woman before your very eyes," she spoke with excitement, still holding onto him tightly. "I know, I look so beautiful and young you can hardly imagine me being old but you will have to get used to me being just so mature and worldly."

Asher managed to snag the popcorn the employees were about to throw away, intercepting it just before it hit the dumpster. Who know a nice smile and a compliment could go so far? With a triumphant grin, he dragged the oversized trash bag of popcorn out of the cinema, beaming at Theodore. "I got it! Can you believe no one else asks for this stuff?" He slung the bag over his shoulder, looking at his friend. "We should find a spot to sit and eat until we’re sick."
