My first open mics were at the Sunset Grill, on the rooftop dining area next door to the Guitar Center on Sunset. My first actual showcase doing a 7 minute set was at the Improv Hollywood on Melrose. I never got up at the Comedy Store but love that place to no end and will forever remain grateful to @theerikmarino and @matthewallentaylor for working with me 10 years ago (can’t believe it’s been so long) to get my feet wet and learn to eat shit on stage. It’s been rough for everyone back home in the USA, especially L.A. since COVID. But one day we WILL return and when we do, I’m coming back.
