maybe its on account of me not actually participating in many, but ive never been in a fandom made up of so many shitheads in my life. over the course of the past 3 years or so where ive regularly posted in the tag the following has happened to me or my friends:
1. seen multiple instances of racism, transphobia and transmisogyny, fetishism of fat bodies, and homophobia in the tag
2. misgendered more than i probably have literally anywhere else online
3. been called ‘a thing’ and ‘it’
4. been called a fag, slut, whore, et cetera
5. been labelled a dramamonger for having moral consistancy
6. bore witness to someone who had a victim complex for someone being uncomfortable with their rape fetish fanfiction
7. so much transmed or transmed-adjacent shit
8. been accused of infiltrating servers i was literally never fucking in
9. been accused of brainwashing my friends
10. been accused of harassment for having moral consistancy
11. been blamed for someone who id NEVER SPOKEN TOO’s suicide attempt(s)
12. framed as a villian for, again, someone who id NEVER SPOKEN TOO’s martyr complex
13. been publically mocked in servers of nearly a hundred users (including but not limited to: being misgendered nearly CONSTANTLY, being called a stupid child by people who at the time were 3+ years my senior, been accused of suicide baiting someone i never heard of let alone ever spoken to ‘years ago’ over something i had only been interested in for a little over a month, had a callout written for me for said accusation despite literally no evidence or proof of anything connecting me to the event whatsoever other than the word of a cishet man who obviously hated me for whatever fucking reason. did i mention the constant misgendering?)
14. had invasive and ugly comments made about me and my body wrt to dysphoria and how i Obviously Dont Have It And Therefore Aren’t Really Trans (honestly who knew these transmeds had so many transmed friends that like to talk in detail about the sex lives and genitals of children)
15. harassed on tumblr and twitter both for several months which included:
> rape threats
> death threats
> saying i was faking my trauma
> general insults about my physical illnesses, appearance, ability to pass, et cetera
16. seen people drawing shit of literal child characters fucking
17. seen people defend ‘darkfic’ or the production and consumption of the fetisization of rape, abuse, and pedophilia in fiction
18. witnessed people who i considered my friends and/or trusted aquaintences to not be against the production and consumption of hte fetisization of rape, abuse, and pedophilia in fiction
19. witnessed particularly popular people refuse to take a stance in horrid events because DrAmA uwu
20. be told someone who is a minor is half-and-half at fault for being exposed to sexual content and situation by someone who is very much their senior (and an adult to literally no ones surprise) and who was very likely grooming them
21. be told said adult will face absolutely no fucking consequences other than the actions taken by the minor to distance themself.
22. be told some chickenshit about how the adult was “blindsided by all this”
23. had people, all but one of which being LITERAL ADULTS, telling me they are AFRAID of me because somehow i have a REPUTATION about being ADAMANT and AGGRESSIVE about the BOUNDARIES of ME and my FRIENDS.
24. so so so so so SO SO SO SO MUCH ANON HATE LMFAO
25. sent into an episode (multiple actually) about several of the above happening at once
