Iām going to be very honest I love Sunnycoco/Sanicocoā¦ theyāve been my #1 ship since day 1 because I love their strained relationship dynamic and how it slowly gets better in the gourmet world arcš
I was hesitant about posting them because the toriko family tree/relationship dynamics are weird and messed up but genuinely like. The korean version I grew up with always treated the heavenly kings as friends/comrades and had no implication of the āfamilyā thing so I had no idea people thought of the kings as brothersā¦ ofc i do think itās a fun dynamic to play with, but i personally donāt interpret them that way
I hc them as leaning more into the āthey trained together when they were childrenā kind of found family trope and thatās what Iām standing my ground on. (I totally didnt have a months-long moral crisis about a fictional ship haha what)
Anyway!! Part 2 of this drawing ā with Toriko and Zebra ā is a wip for now. I tried to draw them as teens but it didnāt really work out lol
