it was certainly unbecoming of a high priestess to be hiding, especially when the court she hailed from was the one granted the honors of the first season ⸻ but that was not hers to celebrate, it was lizeth's. of course, she helped plan. she did it with a smile on her face too; as a high priestess should.
now, dressed in a shade of lilac, she hid behind the rose bushes on the far end of the garden, sat on the warm grass where hopefully none cared to bother her. an empty glass was beside her, and the one in her hand was now half empty of the dawn court's signature wine. not her most favorite wine, truthfully.
when she saw callum turn 'round the corner, aurelia smiled at her friend ⸻ but knew what he was going to say. " please, not right now. " she insisted with a sigh and a shake of her head. " are you enjoying the party? we spent days making sure all the blooms were perfect. i love flowers and i swear i almost grew sick of them. "
