sparx: (for added emotional distress the rest of the merc band can be present either in captivity, or at a suitable distance because there's a sword in kirin's other hand pressed into the small of lying's back, and they're all yelling in horror)

Ceranovis: imagine lying beaten on the floor and chained to the foot of a fancy four poster bed. Kirin doesn’t sleep in the bed, because vampire, but he does lie on the red silk sheets and read, shushing Lying whenever he makes a pained wheeze

sparx: when kirin finally thinks he's been "good" enough and rewards him by swapping the silver for steel, lying knows he shouldn't be grateful but he is

Ceranovis: Kirin constantly calls him things like "puppy" and "doggy", telling him he's been a good/bad/naughty boy

Ceranovis: Later on, when Lying is more broken, Kirin lets him up on the bed. Lying puts his head on Kirin's thigh and lets Kirin pet his head until he falls asleep

sparx: laughs oh man when the merc band finally manage to stage a rescue, lying's so broken he's scared to go

sparx: barely recognises them, refuses to stand on two feet, doesn't respond to "lying"

Ceranovis: baby

Ceranovis: fuzz coaxes him out

Ceranovis: spends the next several weeks showering him with love and treating him like a puppy because he needs it

sparx: fuzz coaxing him out of his crate, but he refuses to move any further. foli's the first to realise what needs to be done, and when he clips the leash onto lying and says "heel" fuzz nearly goes for his throat - only to stop dead when lying reluctantly obeys

Ceranovis: aww

Ceranovis: When fuzz finds the initials, they're so livid it actually scares Lying and he bolts into the forest or something

sparx: ohhhhhh

sparx: the search party finds him heading back in the direction of kirin's lair, and fuzz's heart nearly breaks

Ceranovis: aww

sparx: lies on floor and sighs now i wanna write this

Ceranovis: -eyebrow wiggles-

Ceranovis: for real though, i feel your pain. there's so much i wanna do and i just don’t have the energy to do 99% of it

sparx: i have like five gdoc tabs open and have for like two weeks and i've not written any of it

sparx: like. hhh eventually kirin realises that pain and fear aren't going to make lying obedient on their own

sparx: so he locks lying in his crate and just. leaves him there, with access to water and a bit of food, for like a week

sparx: until, by the time he comes back, lying's so desperate for contact with someone, anyone , he practically grabs at kirin's ankles and presses himself against kirin's shins and just shakes

Ceranovis: oh god

Ceranovis: that’s when Kirin lets him up the bed

sparx: oh and lying is so grateful not to be alone any more that he'd do anything for kirin, anything to stay in his bed

Ceranovis: ooh

sparx: lying squirming against kirin, nuzzling into his side, and kirin just grins lazily and gently guides lying between his legs

Ceranovis: Lying looking up at Kirin, unsure and nervous to do something wrong. Kirin pets Lying more, "Such a good boy. Go on."

sparx: and lying just lowers his head, tentatively nuzzles between kirin's legs and presses his mouth over the fabric, and kirin just smiles and goes back to his book, tugging on lying's hair occasionally if he stops

Ceranovis: Kirin doesn't come. When he gets close, he stops Lying and tells him he hasnt earned it yet, then locks Lying back in the crate and leaves the room.

sparx: hears lying's whining before he turns the lock, and waits until it turns to screaming and then slowly to sobs before leaving completely

Ceranovis: Kirin sleeps well in his coffin that day

sparx: lying eventually runs out of energy to make noise any more, rubs half his face raw from pressing it up against the bars to try and get out, sleeps fitfully and wakes in jolts from his nightmares, alone

Ceranovis: the next time kirin takes Lying out, he fucks him doggy style, using Lying's ponytail as a leash

sparx: hhh lying trying to drop his face and hide it against the mattress and every time kirin yanks him up again w the ponytail

Ceranovis: Kirin making him 'pretty' would be such an insult for him

sparx: especially since i think, out of all of them, kof lying is the most stereotypically masculine and the most. insecure in his gender identity?? or at least not overly fond of femininity as it applies to him

Ceranovis: he's spent so much time building up a very masculine image. And then there's Kirin who just tears it down and turns him into a trophy

sparx: it's the ultimate indignity tbh

Ceranovis: Kirin probably dresses him up and fucks him in front of a mirror

Ceranovis: and Lying tries very very hard not to think of himself as looking pretty

Ceranovis: but it gets harder, as time goes on

sparx: lying in gauzy shirts and pretty panties and this delicate jewellery, collared and leashed and dragged around to kirin's whims despite his attempts to resist

sparx: and he'd never thought he'd be someone that would break to pain, but it turns out constant burning all over his body is a strong motivator to behave, at least enough to get some respite

sparx: dreamy sighs how long do you think it takes for the self-loathing to set in

Ceranovis: right away

sparx: hhh and it hits breaking point one evening when kirin fucks him in front of the mirror, calls him "pretty boy" and "beautiful thing", and after he tosses lying back in his cage lying sits there and touches the jewellery and the clothes and wonders what he's become, /loathes/ what he's become

sparx: and just. tears off the clothing, fumbles with the jewellery to get it out, tears some of the piercings on his back where he can't reach very well, throws it as far away out of his cage as he can

sparx: spends the night curled up in the corner with one hand in his hair, the other tracing over his scars, trying not to think about what punishment his fit of pique is going to get him in the morning

Ceranovis: what if he tried to cut his hair

sparx: ooooo

sparx: like. kirin's made him grow it out or sth??

sparx: and it's a full moon and even without the wolf charm it's enough to let him shift one hand into claws and hack at his hair until it's short and tufted and uneven

Ceranovis: Lying's long hair has always been the only feminine thing he's kept for himself, despite his masculine image. It's a bit impractical, really, but he likes it long and he'll allow himself to have that one thing.

But then Kirin twists it. Washign and brushing it for him, making it smooth and soft, and telling him how pretty it makes him. And suddenly Lying feels sick to his stomach whenever it drapes over his shoulder. He hears Kirin complimenting it while they fuck, and feels Kirin's fingers running through it.

sparx: ohh bab

Ceranovis: Maybe Kirin catches him before he actually hacks it all off.

Ceranovis: Punishes him from trying to destroy Kirin's property.

sparx: kirin wraps his hands in lying's hair, winds it around his fist and /tugs/ until lying's back's arched, throat exposed, feels like his scalp's about to come off, and hisses, "this belongs to /me/"

Ceranovis: He punishes Lying, and puts him back in the cage with his hands cuffed  so he can't touch his own hair. The next day Kirin comes back and tells him he's going to give Lying what he wants. Kirin ties him to a chair and clips his hair short, keeps the ponytail as a trophy. And it's so much worse, because Kirin just took away whatever freedom of choice  Lying had in his hair anyways, and now he doesnt even have the thing he used to love so much.

sparx: ohhhh

sparx: and lying ends up curled in his cage, fingers carding through his shorn hair and just. rocking and sobbing that the only thing that was his has been taken from him

Ceranovis: he breaks easier, after that

sparx: all the fight's gone out of him when kirin visits the next morning he's just... quiet, and rocking, and dead-eyed

sparx: part of kirin is delighted, but part of him is frustrated that the struggle's gone

Ceranovis: Kirin picks him up, takes him to bed and curls around him, petting him and cooing over him. Lying doesnt even react, and thats /no fun/ now is it

Ceranovis: (Dang it skype. I keep getting half of your messages  minutes late)

sparx: (ah i'm going to pick my sister up from school so the connection's a bit spotty)

sparx: hhh kirin trying to provoke a reaction from lying tho

Ceranovis: saying all sorts of horrible things about him, about his band. Ramping up the pretty boy treatment. Escalating how degrading the sex is

Ceranovis: At some point I like to think that Kirin tries to fix his loneliness by using Lying. He makes a lovely dinner for one but sets the table for two. He washes and dresses Lying up in fancy clothing, leads him to the dinning room and tries to get Lying to have an evening on conversation. The sort of thing Kirin dreams of having with friends.

Ceranovis: Lying picks at the food and agrees numbly with everything Kirin says.

sparx: ohh

sparx: oh god and kirin sort of. without thinking about it moves from being like "this is his punishment for trying to kill me" to "he's my friend now right??"

sparx: and it gets to the dinner, and lying's numb and apathetic and listless and kirin just. breaks. just shoves his chair back and stands up and yells "why don't you /love/ me??!!"

Ceranovis: Lying flinches but doesnt look up from his plate

sparx: Kirin just stares for a moment, chest heaving, hands white-knuckled - and then he slowly picks up the chair, drops into it, lets his head fall into his hands, and just mumbles, "What am I doing?"

Ceranovis: What if he tries to let Lying go after that

sparx: leads lying to the door during daylight, opens it, stands just inside the threshold and says "go" in the most exhausted tone of voice

Ceranovis: Lying just stands there. Looks at Kirin, then out at the daylight, then back at Kirin. Waiting for the other shoe to drop.

sparx: ohhhh poor thing

sparx: god and when Kirin tries to shove him out, yells, "Why aren't you running?!" Lying looks at him and says, "You said you'd hurt my band like you hurt me if I ever left."

Ceranovis: oh sweetie

sparx: what if tho. what if kirin's like "...well. if that threat's enough to keep him from running, maybe it's enough to put some fight back into him?"

Ceranovis: Kirin puts him back in his cage, then leaves that night. When he comes back, he's captured Fuzz.

Ceranovis: For the first time in weeks, Lying gives a reaction

sparx: It's not what Kirin wants, though, not fire and anger and rage. Instead, he just seems to break even further, just curls up and rocks and moans and begs Kirin not to touch them, why, I've been good, please, just don't touch them

Ceranovis: Fuzz is just so thrown by how Lying is acting

Ceranovis: Starts screaming and clawing at Kirin

Ceranovis: "What have you done to him??"

sparx: god how angry do you think they are when they notice the hair

Ceranovis: so SO angry

Ceranovis: because Fuzz knows how precious it was to him

sparx: hhh

sparx: and now kirin has a broken lying and a very angry fuzz and is like. what do.

Ceranovis: I had no intentions to actually hurt the fluffy orange thing, and I don't really want to sleep with them??? This did not go to plan.

sparx: fuzz eventually works that out and is like "you're pretty shit at this whole 'using one person to hurt another' aren't you"

sparx: kirin is offended but. also rlly doesn't want to hurt the fluffy orange thing bc they remind him of another small fluffy thing he used to know

Ceranovis: oh no

Ceranovis: Kirin is like... I only have vague memories from the before-times. But you remind me a lot of someone that I cant actually remember but I know I cared a lot about.

Ceranovis: What if he starts remembering more about Garion with Fuzz around. Like Fuzz will do something and it'll trigger a memory of Garion doing something similar.
