 A Birthday Tribute and Thank You To @ibuzoo ♥️

I was once dead.

But now, I am alive. 

For the words I have seen written gave to me something that I did not know I was missing. 

Life. 

For she gave to me untold stories of the gods, ones that had never been told. 

Ones that had awakened me. 

She had stolen my breath away, only to remind myself that I hadn't been breathing for years. 

She saved me.

I thought I knew love and heartbreak; that is, until I read the words she so selflessly bled upon the page for me. 

For us.

It felt like A Hundred Forevers had passed since the last time I had felt my heartbeat. 

I remember finding the heartache I had experienced from characters, people I couldn't connect with, too difficult. 

I had given up. Gave in. 

A DNR for my poor, tired heart. 

And yet... she had come again to revive me. 

As if she was some sort of otherworldly, literary necromancy. 

Draining my body of the tired plots and meaningless words that had once filled my veins. Instead, replacing them with achingly beautiful plots and heartbreakingly passionate diction...

A novel transfusion.

That is what saved me, and continues to save me. So thank you Ramona,

You compare him to Apollo a lot. It’s the first thing you notice, right after the wrong shade of blue in his eyes or the way his smile writes appreciation instead of love on your skin. You watch him curl around your shell as if he tries to fill all the places where you burned and the holes where the wind pipes through. He calls you beauty and sugar and sunshine and you watch him get up in the morning and lay down in the evening and all you feel is remorse and a terribly frightening ache for something that is no longer anymore. You leave him before the tenth dawn breaks. Your name is Icarus. You burned for this.
