Honored to be part of Mozilla Summit 2013
The work of changing the world can only happen if you have a group of people which share common interest.
Although the spirit of Mozillians has decreased a little, because of exponent growth of this organization in the past few years, we are still working for common mission - to keep the web open and allow choice on the Internet. My opinion is that we need to get community more involved to keep this movement of passionate people that value our values.
I've meet a lot of new interesting people and also meet my old friends. It's great to have "eye to eye" contact with people you are in contact every week over email or bugzilla.
It was also a next step for Mozilla Slovenia. Our team has become bigger and is becoming one of the best communities in Europe. I was more than happy to share the experience to others.
"I love that Slovenia rocked team shirts!" - Mary Colvig, Director of Community Engagement at Mozilla
Mozilla Summit was held at three locations: Brussels, Santa Clara and Toronto. I was in Brussels together with Jernej, Žiga and Lucas and of course Brian. We had a great presentation of Mozilla Slovenia at World Fair.
I was also happy to meet Amy from Marketplace team which I'm involved in.
It was an awesome event which will spur the community to do better in the future.
Till next time ...
Cheers, Nino Vranešič
