There are shows that are so individually powerful that they're impossible to talk about. I won't spoil a moment of this 25-minute experience, but I will tell you that during it I laughed, I held my breath, I teared up, I lied, I told the truth, and I fell in love - as another patron before me put it - at least 3 times. Earlier today I spent some time on the phone with one of my favourite clients, a blind woman with a sense of humour that would knock you off your feet. To experience a show through only sound, touch, scent, and taste gave me an intimate look at how she might experience the world, at least sometimes. I had no idea what to expect rolling into this performance, and it still threw me off-guard. It's beautiful, and it's the type of art/theatre mash-up I've been craving since experiencing Sleep No More a couple of months ago, and since living in Australia years earlier. Thank you for this. Now I'm gonna go Float and let my mind work out what this piece means to tomorrow... Thank you for your smiles. #summerworks #thesmileoffyourface #interactivetheatre #torontotheatre #ontroerendgoed #areyourelaxed (at Artscape Youngplace)
