If life were a cheesy romance movie, of the kind Harvey only watched when he was trying to get a woman into bed, kissing Mike would have been enough to solve most of his problems, if not all of them. Instead, Mike had a long chat with his therapist in the bedroom while Harvey cleared up the cold half-cooked eggs and decided they were going to have waffles instead.

When Mike came out, he looked wrung out, and Harvey thought he might have been crying again.

“How’d it go?” he asked.

Mike just shook his head, sitting down and looking at the plate Harvey put in front of him as if he’d never seen food before. “She told me I should ‘channel all this nice grief into a murderous rage.’”
