The Daily Hacker 10/7/13: Internet Explorer Lolz
This is a great trick to play on someone who can't hardly operate the mouse. When someone is asking what Internet Explorer does, then you know we have someone who's pebkac-prone (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair). So here's a nice little troll.
First, take the .vbs file called registryvalues from yesterday's Daily Hacker and put it in Temp if it isn't there. If you deleted it or simply didn't do it, you can just use this (open Notepad and type this):
@ echo Your computer has been compromised. Sit back and let me do whatever I want, because that's about all you can do.@ pause @ exit
The @ symbol is used to hide a process from watchful eyes while it's running. Save this as "TrollExplorer.bat" in C:\Temp.
If, by chance, you still have the .vbs file, then just follow the steps below as if they pertained to it.
Okay, so make a shortcut on the Desktop to your file. Rename it "Internet Explorer". Right-click on it and go to Properties. Find where you can change the icon, and change it to the standard Internet Explorer icon. It's a perfect copy. Make sure you get rid of the existing IE shortcut if it's still there.
Now, click on your shortcut and enjoy the lulz as you get a "note from a hacker." Happy trolling!
