Sooo...it’s been a minute since I’ve been to an author event, but tomorrow night is my chance. One of the books I selected to review for the next issue of American Microreviews & Interviews is #SuchGoodWork by @johaaaaaannes , who will be visiting @thebookcatapult . ✨. It’s awkward enough that I’m such a groupie about books with booksellers (see my latest blog post at the link in the bio), but I think this is the first novel I’ve ever read where the social awkwardness of the protagonist helped me accept my own tongue-tied prospect of seeing the writer in person. I promise to behave tomorrow night, but I may go mute in the process of not wanting to break the spell of this book.
