quit gluten and instagram in the same week and life is already remarkably better.
it’s a little hard being away from all my old friends without Instagram but if I saw one more Brooklyn “leftist” posting (verbatim) “I won’t vote for Kamala Harris til she stops bombing the Middle East” I was gonna have an aneurysm (pls google “vice president duties” if u think this and get back to me xoxo).
def never getting back on gluten, may get back on Instagram after my current (temporary & notoriously hard) job winds down but in more of a lurking capacity. I got back on here so I could still have somewhere to scroll and was amazed at how little has changed in the four years I’ve been away. and, to an extent, how little I’ve changed. I spent an hour tracking down a random size grid theme similar to the one I had in high school (and that exact code lives in a file on my old computer I will be salvaging when I get my things out of storage!), and my posts transition seamlessly from the past to the present—with the date invisible it’s impossible to spot my four-year gap. I’ve lived like seven lives in those four years (stay tuned for forthcoming new Substack!), and the unintentional flow from then to now on my blog makes me feel like I was always meant to be this person I have come to love so deeply.
anyway, I’m back! I missed you. don’t be a stranger :)
