Through Another’s Eyes:Â
For this project, I started with a group of art work that did not really work together visually. As I began to add more details, it began to balance itself out. I recreated it through three different artistic styles: monochromatic, comic book, and vapor wave. I though the monochromatic was visually pleasing because of the clean lines and distinctions, but seemed a bit boring. The comic book theme was fun to mimic the style and I liked the outcome. However, I liked the viper wave style the best. The colors were bright and fun, it went well with the drawings I had and I decided to move forward with that one. I liked the vanishing point naturally created in my background so I added a small faded grid and then drew 3d cubes coming out. I tried to separate the additions and previous drawing by dulling the old colors. To make it seem like the viewer is moving backwards, I added more squares then transformed the image to make it smaller. For the last progression, I made it smaller again then made several copies and tried to match up some cubes. I then used the fill to content aware all the empty space. I liked how it transformed the photo and made it seem a lot more zoomed out and chaotic.Â
