Had been playing with this thought for a while after re-thinking the age gap between Yuuto and Toshi since this picture, figure Toshi is closer to 15+ years older than 10+
Anyway, been working on this over a rough couple of days. I honestly don't know how people can do "vent art". When I'm depressed I just want to lay around and watch the Food Network until I pass out... but here we are. Anyway, context. The short version is, being a teenager can be really rough sometimes,and Yuuto found himself in a bad situation from which he was rescued by the city's new, upcoming hero. And while he tries his best to help, sometimes the best you can do is find a quiet place to let a sad boy cry.
After two years, I'm finally doing a multipage comic! Doing something like this again was long over do for me, especially with Clip Studio having such good tools for it. All in all, I'm really happy with the layout and pacing of this first page
Anyway, as you may have figured out, this comic takes place right after All Might's fight against All for One.
Yuuto will be in the next page, but starting off with his older sister, Sayori, who is a pro hero and who showed up on scene after the situation in Camino started to go sideways. I decided to not give her a hero name in the end. I like the idea of her mantra being "You don't have to be a pro to be a hero. You can be a hero just by being yourself!" I just really seemed to fit her and make a powerful statement. On a side note, I rarely design siblings for my OCs and really happy with how she looks like Yuuto when she laughs. Also being Yuuto's sister, she's knew Toshinori as a civilian first, so that's why her first response is to call him by his first name rather than his hero name.
The boy worries. I get that having a background as an ER nurse, he should be able to handle stressful situations better, but it's always different when it's someone you care about. Also been needed to post something when Yuuto has his five o'clock shadow, cause it makes the boy look FIIIIIIIIIINNNEEE!
