Sub-Division es un grupo fundado en la Ciudad de Mexico en 2004 por los hermanos Baltezar Amed y Amira y su primo Yamil Rezc, bajo el nombre The Primos. Tras recrutar a Rodolfo Samperio en la guitarra, lanzaron el EP The Primos y el LP Blue Boy en 2006 para Hard Soul Records/Noise Lab, producido y mezclado por el mismo Rezc y el reconocido ingeniero Phil Vinall (The Cure, Placebo, Zoe). La banda ha sido influyente para la renovación de la escena mexicana de rock teniendo a Rezc produciendo nombres como Morbo o Le Baron, o grabando baterías para el aclamado EP The Room de la popular banda Zoe, de la cual Samperio fue bajista original. Su particular densa mezcla musical hizo de su sencillo Blue Boy el tema del corto Ver Llover, ganador de la Palma de Oro de Cannes 2007 y recientemente les dió la nominación como Artista Descubrimiento en los Qwartz Awards 2008 en francia.
