The show was held in Paris and the collection (the 50th for the designer) features tons of white and cream elements, followed by an elegant mix and match of prints and bright colors, such as red and turquoise, but also a contrasting black, that never appears to be too harsh or overpowering against the other shades. Full, knee-lenght skirts are for sure the most featured piece of clothing in this collection, giving it a romantic and carefree, extremely feminine vibe.

The collection features many elements drawn from different decades of the past century, but somehow Alber Elbaz menages to put them togheter seamlessly and gracefully. The Madame Grès-esque pleats, the original Jeanne Lanvin’s “Robe de style” dropped waist silhouette that blooms into a full skirt, the Mariano Fortuny’s “Delphos” tunic-inspired dress parade on the runway in a mainly neutral-toned palette. Saffron, dark teal blue and orchid pink make their way on dresses and skirt suits. Metallics show up on accessories and adorned blouses, but also through the brocade-looking fabrics from the closing looks.
