And our last day in OJT, Steven (it is with a "v" and I find I want to call him Sean...I dunno why.) y-jacked with me, then spent about 15 mins talking to me and helping see a process for doing wireless calls (which are my downfall). I wish we had had him for the entirety of our OJT--he is awesome and smart and, like Shawna, seems to really want to help you. Unlike Sombre Ambre.
Had to laugh, last Tues, out on the smokepad after work (with the usual crew plus Shawna and Steven), I called Steven a soulless ginger kid. Ah, hahaha, the look I got from him. He told me I wasn't allowed to call him that (or a ginger). I shrugged and said my former TLA other half at the Con (who had almost orange hair, whereas Steven is more of an auburn ginger), let me call him a ginger. Steven said HE was stupid. hahaha.
Friday night, had my lunch around 8 pm, and Steven was done his shift but having a smoke before he left and he kept looking at my lunch, which was a premade from sobey's: chicken piece (with breading), cheese, lettuce and sauce in a wrap. He kept looking at it, offered him a bite, but he refused, wanted to know if it was spicy. Given that the boy eats dried jalpeno peppers and comments that they're yummy... I said I found it mildly spicy, so he'd probably find it bland.... It's still good, IJS. (i'm sort of middleground for spices--my mum finds even the mildest of spicy too hot, where as my sis and dad are more like Steven--I'm in the middle. No jalpenos for me, but I don't mind some spice).
Don't think I mentioned it here (or maybe I did) but during OJT, I always had a plastic baggie with life savers in it. Amber asked me for one once, I told her to help herself whenever she wanted as that's why I had them out--so then her and Shawna and Graig and then Steven were always helping themselves. Steven especailly. Now, when OJT is in and/or they're on the phones (Steven's been on the phones instead of OJT; I think he actually almost got his ass fired over his medical leave, I'm not sure--the perils of sitting next to the TL station in OJT.) Now, when I go for break, I take the longer route and walk past OJT/where they're on the phones to offer them lifesavers (or if they're over helping someone near, I offer). Right now, a lot of the time our class is still on close to the same shifts/days, I'll offer some to them as well.
So far, my schedule has matched Trevor's the most; Trish and Sean are close...Josh, Brandon and Paul are often on the same days. We don't see much of Paul now and he'll speak to Josh, but not to us (Trevor, Trish, Sean or I)--even if we're sitting behind Josh--unless we speak to him first. And he never sits near us. Not a group kinda guy, I guess. (Though we always know if he's working cus we can HEAR him.)
I think I should've gone with the fiver hour four hour shifts, I'm not sure I'll manage 2 8 hour shifts now. I think I can handle four, I really have to push my self to get through the 9 hour ones I"m doing now. Though I'm getting better (I think) at getting through the calls on my own. Or I'm just really fucking things up.
Anyhow, today is my Friday and I've got two days off together which is awesome, but I also have to start going into the schools and get stuff set up. At least my shifts don't start til 4...
