I am going to speak my peace on it. As a reader of the comics and a fan of the show, they are making a mistake if they are taking this direction. Many people were outraged and turned from the show after what happened with Glenn. I can understand, but from the comic story point of view, it had to happen to drive the story foreward with Maggie. I also know that a lot of people are bored with the Negan storyline, but he has a point to all of his brutality. Maybe dragging out the death just for shock value wasnāt such a good idea, if you are going to take away a fan fav, they need the time to mourn the loss, not drag it out. Now the thing with Carl. That is ripping the carpet right out from under everything. He was supposed to be the beacon of hope, the one good thing, he was gonna beat this world. Now you have him going out like a bitch. The whole storyline of the Walking Dead is mostly about Rick, but also Carl. His legacy, what he left behind after everything went to shit. He shot his mom, got shot, twice! He always gives Rick a moral compass to come back to, because everything he does now is for Carl. You cant just shuck those over onto another character and expect everything to come out in the wash. Carl deserved his place, and he deserved better than that.
