I had the pleasure of attending my university orientation for FSU. I was a bit skeptical at first, considering that I was required to stay for two nights in a dorm of which I was certain it was not thoroughly cleaned. Whether I liked it or not, it was mandatory.

I had to bring my own towels, linen, pillows, and snacks in only one luggage carrier. Considering my fluffy comforter could not fit in my small carry-on size bag, I had to shove it into a duffel bag and hope they didn’t say anything. Oh! And let's not forget my two pillows!! My roomie was meh, but I wasn't going to try to force a connection, so it was what it was. Surprisingly, my room was just a room as you can see. It wasn’t as filthy as I thought it would be. You know? I figured there would be a collection of crumb and dust mites stored in the corners. Lint dropping from the ceiling. Mold in the shower and the shower head. Well, the mold was there, it wasn’t much, but I would much rather have had shoes to take a shower in.

All in all, orientation was great at the end of the day. I’m not sure how different each university's orientation is, but mine was fabulous. I got to register for classes, talk one on one with an adviser, meet new students, establish connections with current students, and get to ask staff and students down to Earth questions. One idiot, I mean guy, asked "How much of a problem is STD's really on college campus?" Like seriously?! You know what he's looking for. La-La-La gross! So, you also get to know whom to stay away from.

17 More days and I’ll be heading off to Uni for the Summer semester. I’m so excited!! I’m going to probably post a packing list for the Summer semester, for those of you who are in the same boat as me.
