#study leave

hii they're going super well so far!! my fave thing is to revise actively with someone else like my girlfriends or boyfriend, but the best (defo right now, especially as they're super close/they've started) do past papers!! it's the best way to get to know what you can expect and get to know the markscheme. it's all well and good knowing the content, but if you say it wrong, you could lose loads of marks!! good luckkk xox

today is officially my first day of study leave, and there’s lots to get done! here's a checklist inspired by @athenastudying :

- look over my history mock papers ✔️

- revise critics for pre-1900 literature ✔️

- revise history sheets ✔️

- do a practise history sources essay ✔️

this week I’ve managed to escape away on holiday with my family as there’s no timetabled classes for a couple of weeks and the one exam I had was before the start of the exam break. as I mentioned before I’m incredibly proud of myself for getting my other coursework to a standard that I was happy with and allowing myself time to reflect and redraft sections before handing it in days before the deadline. therefore, I’m rewarding myself with a week away from it all. it’s very easy for me to sit out in the sunshine contemplating life and relaxing, but it is also dawning on me how much work I still have to do before graduation this summer so I’ve decided that today while it’s a little cloudier it’d be best for my future self to look out my books and do some reading. honestly, from my experience, having something to look forward to and motivate you is not a bad way to actually get your work done on time
