Just posting to prove that I still exist! Had fun making a time lapse as I added to my resource book. Tried a new technique of using a 50:10 Pomodoro timer on my watch (with Forest running on my phone) and doing a loop around the block during each 10 minute break. Keeps me moving and still focused! Wish I’d thought to try it before my exams last year.

Finally got my original computer back and I had two days to finish my two classes. Now I have today to finish and I’m close to finishing History so I can move on to Science soon.
Hi everyone! This’ll be my new post on this studyblr. It’s the third day of our Preliminary Exam week and I’m currently cramming for our Economics Statistics exam later at 6pm. My mind usually works best late at night until the wee hours of the morning.
For my 1st tip, you must put a glass of water and a cup of coffee or tea (whatever drink that’ll make you relax and alert). A glass of water is very much needed to keep you hydrated after the draining lessons your mind absorbs, and after you drink coffee/tea. Water also helps your heart calm down (that’s the case for me) after your body intakes those caffein.
2nd tip. Put everything you need on your table for you to refrain from getting up from time to time.
I hope these tips help as it is effective for me. :)
First note - Procrastination
Procrastination. Yes, it's that devil we all fear. And truly, it is scary.
Personally, when I receive a big assignment that's of such a great weightage, I feel pressured and discouraged. Screw it up, and my grades will drop to the ground. I've got big aspirations and goals for each and every assignment but I simply don't get the drive to really start on it and work on it because of all the pressure and that sense that it's extremely significant and it's not something I can just do right away. Procrastinators, you get my drift.
So here's a tip to get you through.
When you are on the procrastination drive, do all the other nitty gritty stuff that you've never had time to do. For me, i just simply do all my other homework that aren't due till a week later or so. Think it's useless and boring, you'll find that it comes a looongg way. After you're done with all the small stuff, you'll eventually come to realise how amazing that is, when you no longer have to rush and bother with it as the due date comes by. But you ought to start on that big assignment right? Yes.
Stare at it. Get a feel of it. Do some research. and most importantly, PLAN.
As cliched as it is, if you fail to plan, you're planning to fail.
Get a timetable, some sort of schedule and work slowly, bit by bit on your assignment. Amass all the little bits and pieces of information you can get and once done, all you've got to do is piece them all together and edit.
Done! (:
So don't give up, don't let up no matter what. Come what may, you know you've got the strength to push on.
if you feel like giving up, realise that you're not alone, many many of us out here will guide you along this journey and will tide through this with you.
So don't be discouraged and find your own way to get through it!
When you're facing tough challenges, don't ask "why me", but say "try me". -with gumption
