Nice try, life. I got this.
Just over seven days ago I was in the middle of a rather large meltdown. I am, ninety-five percent of the time, a very happy, positive, energetic person. Unfortunately that leaves a rather horrendous five percent where I feel nearly like the world is ending. Last week was one of those times.
Thanks in measure to working out, writing every day, and most importantly, my absolutely fantabulous friends and family, I am on the opposite end of the emotional spectrum right now. I'm a little nervous about life, yes, and it's not exactly how I imagined, but I'm moving in the right direction. Quite literally, really. I've got a viewing scheduled for a studio apartment on Monday.
The more I think about having my independence back, the more I don't understand how I've waited this long to go for it. I do realize that I had a whole list of plans that required staying at home and saving, and that all of them have gone to shit, but still. It's a year last week since I graduated and moved back to America. Time to get things going again.Β
Time to do the starving artist, studio apartment, writing-is-my-life thing. Because that, dear world, sounds like perfection right about now.
