Hey! Is it alright if I got some general advice on what a you think Spurrite OC would be like? I already have one but I'm not too sure if I'm all that happy with her. Thank you!

Optimistic and humorous to the strongest degree, Spurrite always has a joke or uplifting comment for the occasion! This gem may always look for the silver lining or bright side of a situation, no matter how minuscule it may be; if they can’t find it, Spurrite may compensate with humor. Other gems may take this as them not taking the situation seriously, but as far as Spurrite’s concerned, this is their method of showing they take it seriously- or maybe they don’t, and humor is their coping mechanism.
Given it’s also a gem of believing all things are for good cause in the Divine plan, Spurrite likely is heavily dependent upon higher powers, such as Homeworld, to make everything work out for the best in the end. Maybe it could be faith in a higher power than Homeworld or the Crystal Gems that seems to work out for them for the most part- how fragile that faith may be is up to you.
Do you know what weapon would fit a generally humorous and laid-back oc who's combat style is based off of Swing dancing? I was thinking something light like a whip/pole or foot based but I can't really decide. Her gem is Strombolite, if that helps!
You’ll want something that can flex or move with them, clearly. You’re on the right track with whips and pole-arms, but there are a variety of each of those, as well as equally flexible weapons. Why choose a qatar when you can use chakrams which -depending on their make- can be thrown or swung with a wider range of damage? Why use a spear when a guan dao is better designed for sweeping and thrusting motions?
Swing has a lot of spinning and footwork, and in more advanced cases, picking up and actually swinging or flipping people. I’d recommend a kind of throwing weapon that they can toss as they go into or come out of a spin, or a whip that can be used to draw people in, spin them (possibly while getting hits in) to disorient, then send them flying with a snap of the wrist.
