god, how she wished that she could be upset over the running away. she had been when she’d woke up and realized betty was gone but now three days later as they stand facing each other, she can’t. “oh..” quiet, something that she can’t help because there’s still a pit of frustration in her stomach but she stepped forward anyways, swallowing tightly to get rid of the lump in her throat. “ it was a mistake, betty. you didn’t mean to. it was just a mistake, okay?” hand reached forward, catching the tear on her fingertips before she pulled the other into a tight hug. “i’m your family now. we are, and you don’t ever have to run AGAIN. i love you, and you can tell me anything, always.”

     “Kid - hey,”  her voice is almost a whisper - though it’s just loud enough to hopefully catch the attention of the person she’s looking at. “you wanna see something cool?” Is she about to show off one of the best cases she ever worked on? Absolutely. When it comes to broken bones, Callie is the boss. Nobody else. (Yes, she’s bigging herself up).

      “Hey... how’re you feeling?”  Jackson takes a few steps into the hospital room, glancing over the girl before checking the machines that she was attached to. Just to make sure that everything was okay, that nothing was malfunctioning. Because he was hyper vigilant. He understood what this girl meant to some of his coworkers and he was going to do everything in his power to help them.

      “I’ve seen you around but I’m sorry I don’t know your name.” Because Lexie has been severely out of the loop lately, mostly because she was spending ninety percent of her time sleeping or in physical therapy. That and she’s been kind of closed off, she hasn’t really been talking to anybody lately and that hasn’t helped with her being out of the loop. Now is her chance to meet people and learn their names, finally.
