                    THE   SHADOW   KNOWS .     IT   knows   all .     it   knows   that   this   man   has   something   latched   onto   him   inside   as   well .     maybe   something   that's   akin   to   a   sibling   to   it   ...   another   abomination   that's   cut   from   the   same   cloth .     something   that   needs   guts   and   gore   to   survive .     candie   lingers   by   him   ,   desperately   aching   to   say   something   so   he   knows   he's   not   alone   in   this   suffering .     because   she   sure   knows   that   she'd   need   that   ,   too .     she   gives   the   stranger   a   shy   smile   ,   wrapping   her   coat   further   around   herself   to   protect   against   the   winter   cold   ,    ❛   hey   ,   uhh   ...   ❜    and   ,   candie   can't   do   it .     she   shakes   her   head   ,   letting   out   a   nervous   huff   of   a   laugh   ,    ❛   y'   know   what   ?     forget   it   ,   just   ignore   me .   ❜

━ It isn’t as simple as a tinfoil hat. It’s a whole ass tinfoil cocoon! Dick is sitting wrapped in layers of aluminum and he looks pissed. He’s holding a sign in his hands, which reads in plain scrawl:

What is this, and who’s here? And what is this man doing on the sidewalk looking like a knockoff comic book character? It’s hard to tell. Beneath all that FOIL there is a man, for sure, who is wearing a cowboy hat. The outline of the cowboy hat is very evident. “They’re here,” he grumbles. “God damn it, I wish they WEREN’T!”
