     ❛ sorry about all the...stuff. ❜ he’s pretty sure they’ll be sleeping on the couch tonight, since their panic-clean of boxes half empty was billy’s bright idea to stuff them all in the bedroom. they make a neat little pyramid that’s just a magic sneeze away from toppling over. but they missed a few, and billy’s been nonchalant about pushing them along with the back of his foot so people can actually...get in through the front door. hopefully there’s nothing fragile in those. ❛ meant to get around to that before we had a housewarming party. ❜ this counts. the creepy decorations and billy’s chalk-etched symbols on the floor totally count. 

“Ya didn’t have to stop there, you know.”

Jason’s taking a break, cheap drink in his hands, while also doing a little scoping around. These bars are good to overhear any stupid shit some thugs may have planned. Artemis and Bizarro were busy doing who knows what, probably having a deep conversation in the floating invisible fortress. 

“... Well, I guess we’re stuck then.” Rikki sighed. Maybe she should try to call the X-Men. But they were probably fighting dinosaurs or something anyway. “...You got any good rain games?”

“See something you like, lightning bug?“

     ❛ ━━ did you really get all those comic books signed just for me? ❜ billy wouldn’t call them friends. more like vaguely annoying acquaintances. but the thought was nice, and it’s more than billy would ever have managed to get on his own. there’s only so many days off the bag guys could give that suited up to the convention schedule. and only so many books he can hold. or ever hope to get signatures on. brandon must have gone through some trouble. which, kinda weird for him.

“Oh wow. Your concern’s really useful. Keep it coming.” She took a sip of her soda and hoped it looked as aggressive as she felt. “I’m sorta a... binary drinker. I drink anything, I fall over. So soda.”
