his parents already don't like her, this would no doubt only make it worse. she's not supposed to be here, his parents have made it clear how they feel about shadysiders, but kurt thought they'd be out all night. he certainly didnt expect them to walk in on the pair while they were watching a movie on the couch. entirely innocent, nothing going on that shouldn't be. other than a shadysider in the house, of course. his parents didnt seem to care at all that she was there, immediately resorting to screaming at kurt. his mother throws out plenty of harsh insults, though surprisingly few are aimed at joan all things considered. he stands, moves towards his mother in an attempt to calm her down, but that only earns him a slap strong enough to make him stumble into the sofa. before he has any idea what's happening joans up and yelling right back at them, telling her not to touch him as if she has any kind of authority in this household. “ joan— ” he weakly tries to pull at her arm, though it does nothing. the boys muscles are useless when his minds like this. “ please don't— ” he knows they can get out of this without her being in too much trouble, knows he can put it all on his own shoulders, even if he knows he cant really handle the consequences of that.
