Early-morning revelation. For weeks I've been on the verge of having IT band issues again. And I happen to think about the PSOAS muscle which is part of your hip flexor. This time with my IT band issues I was noticing it up high in my hip and in my lower back, as well as finding that my hamstrings were getting tighter than Usual. In addition to that, my IT band would get sore near my knee. Then I thought what if it's not really the IT band this time because it's so atypical and it's presentation. So after a little bit of research and some stretching I'm already feeling a slight bit of relief. So I got to thinking what might've caused this, and I took a position at work where I will be sitting more. This can create a tight PSOAS muscle.
