I like this shot because Colbert exudes a very Gene Kelly-esque vibe in it. Congratulations to her and the rest of the Dixie Dinahs for taking 1st place in the Cabaret and 2nd in the Chorus Line divisions at Savoy Cup in Montpellier, France this past weekend. I got to witness first hand what a truly hard working group of women they are during my visit to London last fall. I got to spend a whole evening with them shooting both Street Dancer Project and Dapper Lady photos which all took place before and even during their weekly practice. They took multi-tasking to a whole new level. Looks like it's currently peak bloom for the Japanese Cherry Blossom trees in DC. This is obviously an old photo because it's nowhere near warm enough to frolic like this right now. Watching the Lindyfest videos coming out, and it was nice to see Tasha and Bobby compete in the Invitational Swing Dance Battle Finals if only because I already have photos of them froma couple of years ago.The lesson of course is that if you do a photoshoot with me, you will go on to become incredibly famous and wealthy.
