Halo
Four days had passed since The Serpent's Kiss had embarked upon its mission accompanying the Queen's Gambit.
The ship was being repaired, Rubiaura rented a room at the Strider in Sunspire, the priestess suffered from three broken ribs, a dislocated shoulder and a collection of minor bruises, cuts and burns. Teera had helped assist the recovery from these injuries, broken ribs being held in place by firm vines that sprouted from the bones and tangled together. This would hasten recovery considerably and do much to make the pain tolerable.
Her shoulder was tended to. Large lacerations were cleaned and stitched. The bruises would remain for a while, as would some of the burns. But thanks to Teera, she would recover far quicker than she otherwise would have. And though her body still ached, it was tolerable. After the nights she spent at the Strider she regained much needed energy. The halo that hovered above her head once again looked radiant. And despite a few cuts that marred her face, her smile had returned to her.
The salespriestess - wandered out into Sunspire, in search of Teera. She had spent days resting, and now her mind sought an update regarding the condition of the rest of the crew.
She reached up, her arm aching as she did, she extended and index finger and curled it around her halo and gave it a little spin. She made her way to the door, she had to empty some of her many satchels and bags, as she couldn't quite carry the same weight as she usually could. She packed up what she could and exited her room, and exited the Strider. Her eyes adjusted to the sun and she took as deep a breath her body would allow her. Her smile brightened at the salty air.
She was far from 100%, but she was able to be productive.
She moved slower than usual, but she still made her way through the seaside town.
