Comparing Mike to Shauna is something I don’t agree with but fine, but Will with Jackie??
The whole point of Will is that he doesn’t die. He keeps surviving and surviving, no matter what. The whole point of Jackie is that she wasn’t fit for the wilderness, so she died. Killing Will off is just… so stupid.
You know who they are? They are taivan.
Will as Van, who just keeps on surviving and surviving, no matter what, even when everyone thinks they’re dead, almost as if the wilderness/Henry wants them alive.
Will as Van, still hung up on their high school love, not traditionally feminine/masculine, poor, with a dad that isn’t around, film nerds, who figured out they were queer young, who had a whole funeral while being alive and tried to call their mom while they were stuck somewhere they couldn’t get out of (the wilderness, the ud).
Mike as Taissa, a great leader with good strategy, and also another person inside of her. Other Tai. S1/s2 Mike vs s3/s4 Mike. Taissa who has a whole wife and kids and yet is still in love with her high school love (Mike dating El but always being in love with Will). Taissa who is just trying so hard to be normal.
Also, rumor has it that the taivan break up was caused by Taissa’s internalized homophobia…
