Tbh yeah gendered marketing sucks and all but like, with Lego Friends, at least now parents can't look at that and be like "oh those are for boyyyys" and exclude young kids from playing w legos. At my old job I heard sooo many stories about where parents bought lego friends for their kid and its what got them more interested in legos and now they play with alllll the lego sets. Basically, gendered marketing sucks, but imo at least marketing a traditionally masculine thing as feminine/ vice versa gives ppl a chance to try it w/o being judged.
Anyway the new aquarium opened up near me and I’m gonna try to get a job there, wish me luck!
I just got really sad because I realized I’ll never live long enough for science to discover a black dwarf :(
Seriously though it’s cool that science can even predict theoretical stages of the lives of stars that exist beyond even the current age of the universe.
So giant robots, amirite.

On one hand it’s really cool that companies like SpaceX are leading us into the future of space travel and I’m glad that they’re improving humanity’s chances of getting on other planets.
But on the other hand, its kinda sad/ scary we gotta leave the future of space travel in the hands of corporations; it’s just granting such a significant portion of humanity’s future into private hands.
Super cool reminder that women belong in STEM fields and that the old men barring our way are gonna get trampled over and all be dead in a couple of years bcz they’re old and miserable.
Tbh I think one of my favorite sci-fi stories out there is this one star called Tabby's Star that periodically grows brighter and dimmer and nobody's rly sure why its happening so now some people are like "Maybe its aliens lmao" so now there's a theory that the reason this star constantly dims is because its got a giant dyson sphere around it and while Im rly not convinced thats what causes it, its still SUPER cool to think about.
