The End is Near
My college shut down the campus for the second time this year. Prior to this, the school hadn't shut down since The Great Storm of 1978, which has lived in infamy in my family chronicles as the year my grandfather came to visit my mother and her sisters when they were students here and got stuck on campus for three days. (It may also have been the year the tradition of sledding down the green on cafeteria trays started, but that's up to debate.) The first time they canceled school this year it was because of Hurricane Sandy. This time it was Storm Nemo. Well you know what they say, it doesn't rain, but it pours/floods/snows. But back to my school. It's shut down. For the second time in 35 years. How bummed would the Mayans be to know they were only off by a month and a half?Â

i forgot that i shoveled snow yesterday out of my driveway and when i woke up this morning my ENTIRE BACK, THAT MUSCLE BETWEEN YOUR NECK AND YOUR SHOULDER, AND MY ARM WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. I NEVER WANNA DO THAT AGAIN. FUCK YOU SNOWSTORM.
Power's On
GUYS I'VE MISSED YOU the power has been off since Friday night and gahhh it's freezing in here I've spent the day shovling, if's been great. Dx [That's a lie] So finally, when we're in the middle of boiling water for a shower over the fire, it turns on pffft story of my life ahfh but annywayyys I'll reply to messages sooon, and like yes thank God it's just getting above 40° F in nere soo welp shfng
Snow anyone?
As I'm eating this banana chocolate chip bar (definitely NOT a granola bar. Are there such thing as a "soft bar"?) and listening to "Sweet Nothing" by Calvin Harris and Florence Welsh while starting to think that my body hates me. Last night I felt my throat punching me in the face and this morning I felt like I had the flu. We got slammed with snow and lost power for like 18 hours(?) and everyone felt like they were all gonna die. I just felt like a bear camping out. We weren't on an island... I wanted to go home last night but then I'd feel bad with my mom driving and everything. My cell phone loved me this weekend. It kept its charge and even if we didn't have power for 3-5 days I'd still feel like I can get away with my cell phone. (feature phones ftw.) Right now my ipod's internet isn't working but at least I have my laptop.
All in all, it was a weird, sucky experience to be at school. There's a lot of stuff I'm missing but my head hurts to even think right now. Yay for another day off tomorrow from classes.
