Researching online has helped me getting a better stance on this topic. I understand the thoughts of why testing is in place but on the other hand, I strongly believe it shouldn't be. The links that I have attached show the Pros and Cons of standardized testing. It sometimes helps to understand what the test makers reasonings are, but also this helps show why these tests should be taken away. Enjoy!

Researchers in Cambridge deliberately terrified caged monkeys with a rubber cobra – to find out how they reacted under stress, animal campaigners claim. The British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection highlighted the incident after listing Cambridge University as one of six universities that carried out experiments on more than 100,000 animals. A BUAV spokesman said: "The total number of animals used by UK universities, according to Freedom of Information responses, was 1.8 million in 2013. Cambridge, along with Edinburgh, Oxford, and three London universities, accounted for over 1 million (55%) of the animals used by UK universities." The campaigners pinpointed an experiment on marmosets by researchers from Cambridge's Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience, and the Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience Institute. The marmosets were then trapped inside a clear box and blasted with periods of loud noise. This was repeated every day for up to 30 days until the marmosets became anxious when they heard the cue that the loud noise was about to start. "Next, a box containing a rubber snake resembling a cobra was placed inside the cages and their reactions were recorded. Some of the anxious marmosets tried to keep as far away as possible from the snake, some were too scared to move and others made frightened 'alarm calls'." In a statement Cambridge University insisted its research "met the highest standards of animal welfare."
