It brings tears of joy to see a young rhino calf trotting beside its mother. In 1995, the population of black rhinos in Africa was less than 2,500. That was a recorded drop of 98% mostly due to poaching and bringing this majestic animal close to extinction. But, as of today, persistent conservation measures across the continent have brought the number to above 5,000. This doesn't mean the work is finished. The black rhino is still critically endegared and photos like this by @lara_wildlife gives us hope and encourages us to continue taking care of our wildlife. . . . #wildlifeconservation #happydays #keepupthefight #stillfighting #stopppaching #rhino #naturechild #onewithnature #research #biodiversity #savetherhinos #animalprotection #animallove #animalsofinsta #naturephotography #onewithnature #wilderness https://www.instagram.com/p/CEUNE6Mh1S-/?igshid=1b00wi3gr23ku
