Aladdin would have liked to say his clueless days were over; that heād, without a doubt, know the rules and basics of any society heād been thrust into. Heād like to say that he knew the difference between being handed food and stealing.Ā
Only he couldnāt.Ā
Most of his time, both in this world and his home, had been spent being taken care of, much like a spoiled child. His status as a magi had entitled him to much more than he had expected, and to say he had grown used to it was an understatement. So when the need to find something to munch on had arose, he quickly found himself in these strange places called grocery stores. Heād found out that in these, there were lines upon lines of food at his disposal, just waiting to be devoured. It reminded him of the buffets and festivals in Sindria that seemed to have food endlessly for miles. True, the cold flooring against his bare feet was far from comforting, he did his best to pay it little mind.Ā
And there it was. Big, shiny and green. It had to be the biggest watermelon he has ever seen, and nothing could dim the sparkle set in his eyes.
It takes him no more than a few seconds to have it in his grasp, and even less so to take a bite off the rim. So juicy, so sweet. This truly had to be the king of melons, and Aladdin is more than grateful to have found it. Itās times like these where heās glad to have been given the gift of finding and creating kings.Ā
Itās the voice of a stern, older woman that tears him away from his bliss. With a good portion of melon still lodged into his mouth, he turns to the owner and immediately gulps. Heās seen an expression like this before, but it doesnāt make it any less terrifying.Ā
ā...Miss, did you want some melon?ā
