Named Da Nang Golden Bridge, the bridge is lifted by two giant stone hands, providing an infinite view to the mountainous landscape. Situated in the midst of the forest, the bridge is colored with golden to make itself more visible, and the bridge is supported by two grey hands pretending like the two hands are rising from the earth.

I love these hands!! These are huamanga hands. Huamanga is a very pure form of alabaster which is unique to the Ayacucho region of Peru. The leaf carved on the hands is the coca leaf which operates as an artefact embodying cultural, socio-economic, & political representations. It is presented as a symbol that gathers peoples’ identities & aspirations. The coca leaf has been used often in ancient times to read in a form of divination tea reading. It has also been used in shamanic rituals which has been well documented. 🍂✋
