I had totally and completely expected not to go to Stitches East this weekend.
Then I got an email from Kate from A Hundred Ravens. She was asking for my help in running the booth at Sitiches this weekend. I jumped at the chance and said yes, so off I’m going! Kate’s picking me up at 6AM tomorrow morning and we’re doing the 2+ hours drive down to Hartford, CT.

Stitches East
My husband just admitted he likes going to Stitches with me :) We haven't gone in a few years, so we're going on austerity for the next few weeks to be able to pay for tolls, gas, admission, and, y'know, yarn. I want to make myself a gorgeous winter hat, I even know the pattern, and I want to buy enough worsted or bulky yarn (it's adjustable) to make a set.
I'm discovering my tolerance for cheap yarn is coming to an end. It's good for afghans and things that need to be washed, but when I was GOOD yarn (something with a silk or cashmere content) I'm so happy to be knitting that I don't stop!
