Chumtoads can grow to fit their environment, but them in a small box they stay small so they can fit in and out of the box! Kinda like Goldfish!
On Xen they are so small because its the only way for them to stay alive! Most don’t make it to adult hood
Chumtoads are the friendliest creatures on Xen, its not uncommon for scientists visiting to be approached by a tiny curious toad before they startle and teleport away
They couldn’t always teleport! That was a defense mechanism evolved later on!
They love eating Headcrabs if they can get big enough to hunt them, otherwise they survive off scraps left over from the other creatures
Their omnivores but only from necessity
Barney’s Chumtoad is named Carl
 Carl was found out in the Black Mesa parking lot and lives in Barneys locker until Barney can take them home (baby proofing is in order)
