I wish ppl would give a shit abt the fact that to stimulus check excludes adult dependants, like imagine everyone (theoretically) getting money except you, who are specifically excluded bc ppl think you're useless and a burden, and ppl kinda just shrug it off. 50 yrs from now ppl are gonna discuss that in history texts and see it for what it is
Hey everyone, if you didn't know; when filing for your taxes (I used turbotax free efile) and if you didn't receive 1 or both your stimulus checks (I didn’t get my second but did get the first) there's an option where you can place the amount owed (which you can check on the IRS website for status of your stimulus to put the right amount or just to double check status before filing) and that amount will be added to your subtotal! There's also a free file version turbotax for low income folks here. I just filed and was able to add the 2nd stim check I aint get successfully. (**Reminder that you’d still have to wait to have the filing accepted before you can receive your money!)
Imagine how stimulated the American economy would be if people actually had the money to buy things instead of having just barely or not even enough to pay for basic shelter and food
And if the billionaires paid taxes and actually spent their money instead of keeping it in (Swiss/off shore) bank accounts just so they can have the status of having billions of dollars in the bank

Donate to a local mutual aid group at supportmutualaid.org, directly fund the establishment of new community fridges by giving to freedge.org’s freedge fund, support Mutual Aid Disaster Relief’s COVID response efforts, or give to struggling Indigenous communities through indigenousmutualaid.org
So many people are suffering because of COVID - many were suffering even before it - and one check isn’t gonna solve all of their problems. The only way we’re going to weather the rest of this pandemic and the inevitable economic collapse that follows it is by organizing structures of community support now
