Robert Stillington
Why was he dismissed in 1473, was it because of the case of the Countess of Oxford? Does this make him hold a grudge against Edward IV?
It's truly a mistery. We don't know and the worst part is that he actually defended the countess of Oxford against Richard III, which make his latter support even weirder. Maybe he was thought as too close to Clarence, maybe he did completely unrelated corruption and mischiefs, maybe he was innocent and simply lost favors. We don't know, just like we do not know why he acted in such ways in 1483.
