One of the reasons we dislike the HwoaJin ship:
Which is funny considering 1. The main reason it’s an issue for us is because we feel like Hwoarang is aggressively a bottom in how much he wants Jin to wreck him where Jin is just not that kind of guy even if he did top. And 2. We ship SteveRang but see Hwoarang as a total power bottom to Steve’s more casual topping style.
Maybe it’s because we see their relationships so differently both canonically and in terms of shipping. Idk lol

The lack of more canonical Steve/Hwoarang interactions hurts our soul because they clearly get along better than Hwoarang ever did with Jin.
The biggest issue we have with the Tekken storyline is how certain characters have kinda gotten a bit too roped into the Mishima family shenanigans than strictly necessary. Don't get us wrong, we DO love the fact that all this batshit insane stuff is happening, but we just wish it wasn't to the detriment to other characters' interpersonal relationships.
Hopefully, now that Jin's gone through some apparent character development, Hwoarang could focus more on his rivaly with Steve. They're both just so much more chill around each other, and Tekken has too many antagonistic rivalries in comparison to ones like theirs imo.
That and yes, we do, in fact, very much ship SteveRang.
ok but what if the reason Steve started hanging out with Paul and Law so much is because they're basically married and he wanted advice on how to ask out Hwoarang after they fought in that one Tekken 5 opening and then had to deal with the fact Hwoarang is an idiot who doesn't realize he's in love with Jin?
we may not like the HwoaJin ship but that kid is clearly a gay guy in serious denial with how he keeps going after Jin to "fight" him
