we tell ppl we’re an art collective but only because we dont know a better word for it. the most literal way i know how to put it is that we’re a group of ppl who all make stuff together. what the stuff is varies. its been mostly comics for a long time bc theyre easy and we got good at them, but its other stuff too sometimes. one of us has a buncha albums and another one of us has written like pretty extensive just standalone prose shit. rn im tryna use blender and sfm in conjunction to make videos like our comics except lookin like a ps1 cutscene. the only like definitive threads running through ghostfruits are that we make stuff together and the stuff is tight. but i guess its also just like..an energy…?? its just a feeling kinda. its this spice we try and put on stuff. on ourselvesz

i try to think of it like wu-tang i guess… in terms of like….wu was a bunch of dudes with very specific tendencies and mannerisms and frames of reference, for things, they had a real specific method of interacting with the rest of the world. they wanted the world to look a very specific way, have very specific things in it, and so they made the world around them uhh..look like that. idk. whatever vibe it was them niggas was tapped into?? only they could access, and they would pull it out and bottle it and give it to you via like..music or just the way they was dressin or the way they..was talkin, like regular out they mouth, in interviews, and shit??

and so uhh i guess everyone who is or has ever been in ghost has been like…compatible, with whatever uhh, like wack vision we feel like we have for stuff. the things we want to see and have are like, rly specific sometimes, and not getting made by other ppl, so we’re making them. its a vibe we like and wanna try and live in. its a rly specific feeling that we enjoy and try to embody and want to make available to ourselves. uhh and i guess we hoped thru makin it available to th internet wed meet a buncha ppl who wanted to live in that too?? its gone pretty well so far
