「模特兒公司？唉呀！你小心啲呀！香港呢，好多模特兒公司都係呃人㗎！」

“Modelling agency? Hey! You better be wary! Here in Hong Kong, there are lots of modelling agencies that turn out to be scams!”

「邊個介紹你㗎？」 “Who recommended you?”

「冇呀，我行下街轉下身畀一個星探發現。」

“No one, I was just walking around on the streets and got scouted by a talent agent.”

「星探？佢係咪話畀你聽，你好有 ‘camera face’ (‘開麥拉’面孔)，有個廣告好啱你拍呀？」

“Talent agent? Did they tell you, you have a great ‘camera face’, and you're most suited for one of their ads?”

「係呀！嘩！我幾開心呀！佢同我講話我有氣質呀！」

“That's right! Wow! I was so happy! They told me I had a quality about me!”

「噉佢係咪跟住之後呢就叫你入佢嗰間公司跟你交啲乜嘢費乜嘢費噉樣啊？」

“So did they also have you follow them back to their company to pay for so-and-so fees?”

「我真係錢都畀晒啦！頭先…」

“I did pay for everything already!”

「你畀人呃咗啦！」 「點會啫？」

“You've been had!” “How can that be?”

「你唔睇得咪係聽日同我一齊去囉！」

“If you don't believe me, come with me (to the company) tomorrow!”

「好呀！」 “Sure!”

「呢間模特兒公司嘅老闆呢，已經走路㗎啦！」

“This modelling agency's boss has fled!”

「睇你嘅樣…都似讀過書嘅，咁舊個橋你都信嘅？有冇搞錯呀！」

“Looking at you, you seem the well-educated sort, how could you fall for one of the oldest tricks in the book? What's the matter with you!”

「我唔想笑嘅…」 “It's not that I want to laugh…”
